A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to talk with the wonderful Megan Gipson on The Family Brain Podcast. We discussed a topic near and dear to my heart: Perinatal Mental Health.
Perinatal health is the health of women and babies, before, during, and after birth. This includes women who are trying to get pregnant, are pregnant, and up to one year after delivery.
In retrospect, this podcast was perfectly timed, because we cover normalizing mental health struggles, and how to care for ourselves when we are in a time of change… much like the crisis we are in right now. Child-bearing is the most psychologically complex time in our lives, and all the skills and tasks we discuss here are things that are useful and important for all of us now and always.
I hope you take a listen, share with anyone you think will benefit from hearing it, and let me know your thoughts, questions, or comments.
